Directions and Maps

Leeds is a city that's easy to get to and around.

Rail, road and air connections are convenient and because Leeds is a compact city, finding your way round on foot is simple too.

By car

Leeds is linked by road to all points north, south, east and west of the UK by the major M1 and M62 motorways which are just a 10 minute drive from the city centre. Over 1450 public car parking spaces including disabled spaces are located close by.

Nearest car parks include:
  • Civic Hall pay and display, short stay
  • Woodhouse Lane, long stay
  • The Light, long stay.

By train

Coming to Leeds by train is simple from most of the country and the newly redeveloped station brings you right in to the city centre, with just a short walk to all the Conference Culture venues. For more information visit www.nationalrail.co.uk (opens a new window)

On Foot

From the train station all venues are only a 5 minute walk. Proceed into City Square (with the Queens Hotel behind) and onto Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction. For Leeds City Art Gallery and Leeds Town Hall turn left onto The Headrow and continue for approximately 200 metres, both venues can be found opposite on the right hand side of the road. For The Carriageworks cross the road from Park Row into Cookridge Street. Continue up Cookridge Street into Millennium Square, The Carriageworks can be found on the left hand side.
By Air
Leeds Bradford Airport is about 7 miles away. It is served by several airlines with many European and International connections. For more information please visit www.lbia.co.uk.
